Don serves as the driving force behind Niemann Capital Management's growth and success as the Founder and Chief Investment Officer. Don began his career in 1983 as a registered representative at Prudential Bache and moved on to become the Vice President of Investments at E.F. Hutton and Bateman Eichler Securities. In these positions, Don gained extensive experience designing methodologies and managing securities, mutual funds, variable annuity products and international funds in a diverse marketplace. In 1991, Don synthesized his professional expertise, resulting in a new venture - Niemann Capital Management, Inc. Don retains a tactical control of all of Niemann's investment choices through dedicated research and analysis.
Alan Alpers, a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Niemann Portfolio Manager, was previously a partner at Ascentia Capital Partners, where he was responsible for trading hedge fund, mutual fund and separately managed accounts in various styles for the Reno, Nevada-based firm. He was also a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to Ascentia Capital Partners, Alpers was the Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of Research at Navellier & Associates, Inc., also based in Reno. There he was responsible for trading and managing various investment products, including mutual funds, institutional funds (including public, Taft-Hartley and private pension funds and retail wrap-fee assets) totaling $5 billion. He oversaw the firm's trading desk and all other portfolio managers, and also coordinated all weekly quantitative and fundamental stock selection research. Alan holds an MBA from California State University, Sacramento and a BS degree from the University of California, Davis.
Andrew Harris is a Chartered Market Technician and serves the dual role of Analyst and Trader at Niemann Capital Management. Prior to joining the Niemann team, Andrew worked as an Equity Trader for Nutmeg Securities in Reno, NV where he was responsible for all trading activities and the maintenance of mutual fund account relationships. Previous to his role at Nutmeg, Andrew was an Equity Trader for Navellier and Associates, also in Reno, NV. As part of the four-person Navellier trading team, Andrew directly supported the Portfolio Manager and was charged with executing trades for institutional clients as well as wrap account clients. He also has experience in currency trading and regulatory compliance. Andrew holds a BS in Economics from the University of California, Davis. He also holds the following FINRA licenses: 7, 24, 63 and 66.
Charles H. Halliday is Niemann Capital Management's Chief Strategy Officer. Charles is responsible for the creation and execution of the firm's strategic initiatives and alliances. In his role, Charles serves as a driving force in leadership and business development for the firm. Charles manages the design and implementation of process improvement as well as monitoring operational deliverables.
Prior to joining the team, Charles held the title of President for the New England Institute of Technology at Palm Beach in Florida prior to its acquisition by Lincoln Educational Services. During his tenure with the College, Charles' responsibilities included oversight of the entire college faculty and staff, budgetary management, business development and operations.
During his previous tenure with the firm, Charles was a Compliance Principal for Niemann Capital Management. In that capacity, he served as a leader in the development of the company's compliance function, in addition to establishing Niemann's initial Broker/Dealer relationships.
Charles holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Richard West is the Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President, Business Development for Niemann Capital Management. Richard manages all compliance requirements for the firm. His position includes overseeing the broker/dealer and RIA agreements, maintaining compliance policies and protocols, and complying with SEC regulatory requirements. In addition, Richard and his team are responsible for ensuring all of the firm's communications with its advisors and clients follow procedures accordingly.
Richard brings over 16 years of investment industry experience to his current role at Niemann. Prior to Niemann, Richard's most recent position was Vice President, National Accounts Division for Young's Market Company where he was responsible for managing a team of over 130 Northern California Account Executives and regional merchandisers. Richard served honorably as a Non-Commission Officer in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BS in Business Management.
Scott Freund is the Chief Financial Officer for Niemann Capital Management, overseeing all financial operations, budgeting, accounting and human resources for the company.
Prior to joining the firm, Scott was the Campus Vice President of Operations for Lincoln Educational Services Corporation where he was responsible for the financial and operational management of the school. Before his tenure at Lincoln Educational Services, he held the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at New England Institute of Technology. Scott has over 30 years of experience that includes increasingly responsible positions in the areas of financial management, operations, corporate reporting and budgetary control, as well as managing various accounting departments.
Scott holds a BS in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
Elizabeth Howe is the National Sales Manager for Niemann Capital Management. Liz's role is to direct both the strategic focus and day-to-day activity of the Niemann Sales team, develop new broker/dealer relationships, as well as continue Niemann's ongoing efforts to further educate Niemann advisors about the various facets of the Niemann Advantage.
Liz brings over 15 years of investment industry experience to her position, with her most recent role as National Sales Manager for Symmetry Partners. Prior to joining Symmetry Partners, Liz served as Vice President of the New England Region for Protective Life. Liz has also worked at Allmerica Financial, Inc. as Vice President, National Account Director where she was responsible for the targeted development of broker/dealer relationships and management of key account managers. Liz holds a BS in Business Administration from Westfield State College, Westfield, Massachusetts.
Travis Silberman is the Senior Advisor for Niemann Capital Management. Travis' role is to educate Financial Advisors and their clients about how Niemann's unique brand of tactical money management can help them achieve their long-term investment goals.
Travis has been in the investment industry for over 30 years. Before joining Niemann Capital Management in 1992, Travis worked as a Registered Representative at Securities America. Prior to that, Travis was the Investment Advisor for Investors Portfolio Management. Currently residing in Soquel, California, Travis currently holds a FINRA Series 65 license.
Faith Chaffee is the Portfolio Specialist for Niemann Capital Management. Faith's role is to educate current Financial Advisors and their clients about how Niemann's investment methodology and unique brand of tactical money management can help them achieve their long-term investment goals.
Faith began her investment industry career over 10 years ago. Before joining Niemann Capital Management in 2003, she served as a Private Equity Associate for Shott Capital Management, LLC, and has held several positions of increasing responsibility throughout her tenure with Niemann. Currently residing in Santa Cruz, California, Faith is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in Business Administration, Finance. She currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses.
Adam Hartrum is the Western Regional Sales Manager for Niemann Capital Management. Adam's role is to help Financial Advisors and their clients understand how Niemann's unique brand of tactical money management can help them achieve their long-term investment goals.
Adam has been in the investment industry for over 10 years. Before joining Niemann Capital Management in 2003 as a senior member of the firm's sales team, Adam worked as a Financial Advisor and External Sales Manager for Wachovia Securities. Adam also served honorably, both stateside and overseas, as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He currently holds FINRA Series 7 and 65 licenses.
Chris Deacy is the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Niemann Capital Management. Chris' role is to help Financial Advisors and their clients understand how Niemann's unique brand of tactical money management can help them achieve their long-term investment goals. Chris focuses 100% of his time and effort on supporting Niemann's sales and service efforts throughout the Midwest.
Chris joined Niemann following three and a half years as the Midwest Regional Vice President of ATEL Capital Group. Previously, he spent five years as a Regional Sales Representative for DWS Scudder-Deutsche Asset Management. A native of Chicago and a graduate of Illinois State University, Chris resides in Lisle, Illinois. He currently holds FINRA Series 6, 7 and 63 licenses.
Michael Ashley is the Eastern Regional Sales Manager for Niemann Capital Management. Michael's role is to help Financial Advisors and their clients understand how Niemann's unique brand of tactical money management can help them achieve their long-term investment goals.
Michael brings over 23 years of investment industry experience to his position at Niemann. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Regional Sales Director for HighMark Funds, responsible for their Northeast territory. Previously, he managed the Metro New York area as Senior Vice President at Fidelity Investments for 12 years. Michael's expertise and knowledge also includes over 8 years as a Financial Advisor during which he directly managed client accounts.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Hartford, Connecticut with a BS in Business Administration and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 designations.
John Flegal is the Regional Sales Associate for Niemann Capital Management. John manages the National Sales Desk for the firm. John's primary role is to educate current Financial Advisors and their clients about how Niemann's investment methodology and unique brand of tactical money management can help them achieve their long-term investment goals.
John has been in the investment industry for over five years. Prior to joining Niemann Capital Management, John worked as an Operations Manager for Morgan Stanley. John received his BA from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. He currently resides in Santa Cruz, California and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
